FARM FIELD CLASS RULES - 2010
 
1. Tractor must be manufactured stock model, two wheel drive.  Rubber bar type, (agriculture type
    tire only).  Cast or pressed wheels will be allowed.  No tire size.  No cut tires allowed.
 
2. Tractors must have stock fuel system.  Turbo must be stock for model of tractors.  M&W or
    equivalent may be installed, 3,000 RPM max 10% over on manufacture listed RPM chart.
 
3, All weights or external parts must be secured to the tractor and not beyond the rear wheel.  Any
    weights or external parts that fall to the ground during the pull or while hooked to the sled will be
    cause for disqualification.
 
4. Tractor must be in neutral while hooking and unhooking.
 
5. Drawbar must be 20" hight to 18" back from the center of the rear axle housing to the pull point. 
    Must have a 3 5/8" hole in clevis, no twisted clevis will be allowed.
 
6. There is a 5 MPH speed for the classes.  There will be unlimited beeps until the cone at 175',
    any beeps after this point constitute a disqualification.
 
7. Classes are as follows: 8,000-10,000; 12,000; 14,000.
 
8. Each tractor gets two (2) chances to start the sled before the 50' mark.
 
9. The contestant must be 18 years old or 16 with written parental consent.
 
10. Anyone found under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to pull.
 
11. If proper safety equipment is not corrected after one event, puller may not participate in the
      MTPA.
 
12. Each tractor must have stock fenders and wheelie bars.  Kill switch recommended but not
      mandatory. 
 
13. All straight pipes must be vertical (no curves) or rain caps.
 
14. The contest is governed by the safety committee and the board of directors of the MTPA; all
      decisions are final.
 
15. Pullers must weigh in before and after pulling in each class.
 
16. The contestant will not hold the committee or individuals connected with the contest
      responsible for damages, injury, or theft.
 
17. Farm field tractors must have factory front ends.
 
18. Farm field tractors must have operating PTO.
